CP Dankwambo Holds First Press Briefing, Discloses Scorecard Four Weeks In Office

Adamawa state Police Command promised to fight crime and criminality to the bearest minum to ensure remnants of criminal elements are flushed out of the state.

The pronouncement was made by Adamawa state Police Commissioner CP Dankwambo Morris during his first press conference on achievement recorded held at the Command Headquarter in Yola.

The Police Commissioner Dankwambo, who assumed office four weeks ago, said a group of young armed men terrorising and making life unbearable for the good people of the state, otherwise known as Shila boys, were identified among major security challenges.

In a bid to stem nefarious activities, the command operstives (SID),the police tactical teams in collaboration with Hunters launched attack on Sambisa forest a safe haven for the Shila boys activities and arrested handful of the criminals.

In the same vein,they intercepted and arrested armed robbery gangs within Jimeta, who robbed passengers and occupants of their vehicles from Taraba but escaped to Adamawa state,meanwhile the suspects have confessed to the crime.

Similarly, armed gang of kidnappers who have been terrorising Ngurore were arrested with two (2) AK 47 and twenty-five (25) rounds of ammunitions.

According to the Police investigations are going on, and they will be charged to court.

CP Dankwambo Morris solicit for public maximum support and cooperation by providing timely and credible information when offences are committed or about to be committed.

Equally, the Adamawa state Police Commissoner, on behalf of the officers and men of the command, appreciates the state government for continuous support render to the command and assure completion of investigations and prosecutions of suspects arrested.

The police command reiterates commitment to collaboration with other security agencies in the state,hunters, and vigilantes as partners in fighting against crimes and criminality.
