Communal Dispute(Maiha-Jalingo): Elders call Gov Fintiri to intervene

Elders of Maiha Local Government call on Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, Lamido Adamawa and the Emir of Mubi to wade into Jalingo-Maiha District traditional leadership tussle rocking the area.

They want them to find a lasting solution and peace to continue to reign in the area.

The elders revealed that in a contest of three candidates, one got two votes and the other secured five votes while the third party got nothing calling on Governor Fintiri to use his good office to bring the leadership tussle to an end.

The elders described Governor Fintiri as peace loving man hence the need to wade into intervene into his subjects problem and solve it ones and for all.

Idris Shehu who polled five out of the seven vote cast calls for calm as leaders in the state would wade into the matter to proffer lasting solution.
