CCAPAD Sensitize Maiha,Mubi North and South On Peaceful Co-existence

Residence of Mubi South, Mubi North, and Maiha LGAs in Adamawa State have been called to shun social vices in their Areas to achieve their ambitions in life and sustain a peaceful co-existence.

Some stakeholders at the Centre For Community Action For Peace And Development, CCAPAD, made the call while interacting with NASFM news’ Muhammad Buhari, Friday.

Khalid Aliyu, Coordinator of the Centre, Mubi South, highlighted the significance of coexisting peacefully with one another and shunning unlawful activities capable of causing riots, especially at this trying time.

He pointed out that the peaceful protests that some unions are inciting the public to embark on will go a long way in causing trouble due to the fact that some bad elements may take advantage to wreak havoc in the society.

Aliyu hinted that the communities should always look at their surrounding concerns and find a lasting solution to the lapses.

He further lamented that some youths in the local government areas have turned themselves into useful machinery in the hands of their oppressors who failed to make the country habitable for them to thrive despite the abundance of human and natural resources at their disposal.

Speaking, Nihad Abdullahi, CCAPAD Coordinator Maiha, stressed the need for the communities to amicably solve their problems and improve their living standards for peace and development.

She opined that the public especially youths are stakeholders in peacebuilding and conflict management and prevention.

The duo, therefore, called on the government and relevant stakeholders to involve well-meaning citizens in issues related to mitigating conflict and crises bedeviling peace and stability in the communities and Adamawa as a whole.
