The Adamawa state Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has joined thousands of Muslims in Yola to celebrate the 2022 Eid-El-Fitr celebration, marking the end of one month Ramadan fast.
Others at Yola Eid ground include Waziri Adamawa and former vice president Atiku Abubakar, Galadima Adamawa Alhaji Mustafa Aminu, and Speaker State Assembly Aminu Iya Abbas among others.
Speaking in an interview shortly after observing the Eid prayers, Governor Umaru Fintiri congratulated Muslims in Adamawa for a successful completion of Ramadan fast.
He urged faithful to use the lessons learnt during the spiritual exercise to champion the course of peaceful coexistence and love for development of Adamawa and Nigeria.
On the 2023 elections, Governor Fintiri called on the people to extend the lessons learnt during Ramadan by respecting one another before during and after the elections.
He advised politicians to play to the game with decorum and prayed to God to give people the right leaders that will move the country to the position of a developed state.
