Adamawa State Governor met with Leardership of Pene De Bwatiye at Dogirei House

The Adamawa state Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has on Tuesday granted audience to the leadership of Pene Da Bwatiye where state security and the need for peaceful coexistence among the respective ethnic groups in the state was emphasized

Shortly after a closed door meeting, President of the Pene Da Bwatiye, Prof. Dan Babayi disclosed that the meeting centered on discussions to further consolidate on the relative peace being experienced currently in the state

He said cases of farmers and herder’s crisis that had claimed lives in the pass still resurface in some quotas of the state and expressed the hope that measures discussed at the meeting would yield positive results

He explained that most of such cases happen during the rainy and harvest seasons that’s why the Bwatiye leadership find it necessary to begin the anti- farmer and herders crisis advocacy early through the meeting

Prof. Babayi said that the lingering compensation of Bwatiye communities that lost their fortunes in similar crisis was also discussed and that the state government promised to look into it.

Among reasons for the visit by the Bwatiye according to President Babayi was to congratulate the governor on his successful conduct of local government elections in the state and to also commend him for his efforts at delivering people’s oriented projects within less than three years in office.
