Adamawa state government seek the State Assembly to amend Environmental Protection Law

Adamawa State House of Assembly has on its Tuesday sitting received a letter forwarded by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri seeking a bill for a law to amend Adamawa State environmental protection agency law 2021.

The Speaker of the House, Bathiya Wesley read the letter at the floor of the house for consideration by the lawmakers.

After reading, the forwarded letter, the speaker therefore directed the chairman House Committee on Rules and Business to schedule the bill for a first reading at the next legislative day.

Also at the sitting, a bill for a law to establish Adamawa State water ways authority sponsored by the speaker Bathiya Wesley passed first reading.

The bill was seconded by the Majority leader of the house Kate Raymond Mamuno at the legislative proceeding.

Assembly reporter Dominic Yohanna reports that the speaker Bathiya Wesley also directed the chairman House Committee on Rules and Business to schedule the bill for a next legislative day.
