Adamawa Gov’t Approves Construction Of Bajubure Federal Housing Estate, Others

Over N16 billion has been sanctioned by the Adamawa State Executive Council for the development of a 17km road network within the Bajabure Federal Housing Estate, situated in Girei LGA. This decision was made in a meeting led by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri.

Following the meeting, Mrs. Neido Geoffrey, the State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, announced that the road project was entrusted to Messrs Triacta Nigeria Ltd, with an expected completion timeline of 12 months. This move aligns with the current government’s aim to expand urbanization beyond the state capital into other regions.

Additionally, the Commissioner of Works and Energy Development, Alh Adamu Atiku, mentioned that the contractors are set to commence work within a month after completing necessary procedures.

 

Moreover, the council has agreed to allocate over N740 million for additional work on the road network at the one thousand housing estate Malkohi.

Dr. Umar Garba Pella, the Commissioner of Education, emphasized that these initiatives are designed to improve living conditions for locals and commuters, besides enhancing the state’s aesthetics.

Alh Adamu Atiku also shared plans for constructing a mini flyover and creating intersections at both ends of the superhighway extending from FGGC Yola to AA Lawan junction, to adhere to international safety standards.
