Adamawa State Governor, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, expressed gratitude to the military for maintaining peace in the state and fostering unity in Nigeria.
Speaking in Yola on Monday after participating in the Armed Forces Remembrance Day ceremony, Fintiri praised the dedicated military personnel who sacrificed their lives for the nation’s unity.
Represented by the Deputy Governor, Prof Kaletapwa George Farauta, he emphasized the government’s acknowledgment of the military’s sacrifice and called on citizens to support the families of fallen heroes.
The state chairman of the Nigerian Legion, Master Warrant Officer Ali Mohammed (Retired), also appealed for increased support to give their members meaningful life after retirement.
