An indigene of Adamawa state, Pitapwa Vokito has been recognised and commended by a team of International Football Grassroots Observers towards his contribution to the development of football to explore youth potentials.
Responding to the gesture in an exclusive interview with NASFM reporter Zakariyya Aliyu Gwaram, Mr. Vokito disclosed that his effort is to promote peace and unity and to reduce political tensions at the moment.
The Organizer of the competition said the purpose of organizing the tournament was provide to opportunity for the youths to promote tolerance as well strengthen peaceful coexistence by reflecting the joy of teamwork or glory from the football pitch to polling units irrespective of political interest, religion or ethnicity.
Describing the recognition as a collective success, Mr. Pitapwa advised more collective interest to develop sport at the grassroots, citing the success of the recently concluded Pitapwa football tournament as a good reference example.

The Pitapwa football tournament had teams across the 21 LGA participated.
The winning team received one million naira, and the runner-up got 500 thousand naira.
