The Catholic Bishop of Yola Diocese who Doubled as the chairman Christian Association of Nigeria Adamawa State has donated food items ,drugs and detergents to inmates at the Medium Security Custodial Centre Yolde Pate.
This was part of his continuation of humanitarian activities to give them a sense of belonging and celebrate the 2023 Christmas, marking the Birth of Jesus Christ.
Bishop Stephen Dami Mamza said the gesture was part of routine activities of the Catholic Diocese of Yola to reach the needy during Christmas and Easter among other festival periods.
The Bishop noted that the items were provided based on assessment conduct on the needs of the inmates at the Medium Security Custodial Centre Yolde Pate, Yola.
The among the items presented are food and non-food items enable them celebrate Christmas festivity.
Bishop Stephen Dami Mamza also urged the inmates to learn the lessons of their various offenses convicted them in the custodial centre.
He also prayed for their transformation and safe release to become valuable members of communities and society.
At the presentation, representatives of Christian and Muslim inmates Commended the Bishop Stephen Dami Mamza for always supporting them and other needy in the society.
The Bishop later handed over the items to the uncharged of the correctional centre for the use of inmates.
