Nigerians have continued to advise the federal government to take a second look at its decision on fuel subsidy removal, given the recent increase in the price of the fuel.
On Tuesday, Nigerians woke up to the news of an increase in the pump price from 55O to 617 Naira in various filling stations across the country.
Tuesday’s increase has continued to generate concerns among Nigerians, with many of them complaining of the hardship being faced over the development.
Ezekiel Anadion, is one among those that are not happy with the decision, saying the federal government was supposed to make necessary arrangements before taking such steps.
On his part, the former Chairman of Trade Union Congress in Adamawa, Comrade Nasiru Babale urged the organized Labour, civil society organizations, to intimate government on the hardship face by Nigerians over its decision.
Comrade Babale questioned the increase in the fuel pump price at this time, despite generating money from the fuel subsidy.
Survey carried out by NASFM News indicates that most of the filling stations in the metropolis are selling the fuel above 600 Naira per litre, against the previous 550 Naira price.
