The Adamawa State Command of the Nigerian Drug Law Enforcement Agency NDLEA said efforts by the State Government and Stakeholders have led to the operational successes recorded in their activities of the year 2023.
The pronouncement was made by the Commandant Adamawa State NDLEA command, CN Femi Agboalu Samson during the first Press Conference at the Command’s Ultra Model Hall in Yola,Adamawa state capital. 
During the global briefing, the state Commandant CN Femi Agboalu Samson disclosed that the strategy deployed by the command ensure destruction of drug businesses, arrest and seizure in the year under review.
According to him,due to command’s resilience there is decrease in arrest were 360 male drug offenders, 5 male suspected drug dealers summing 365 offenders are arrested,compared to the year 2022 where 457 arrest were made.
Also, the command recovered 34 rounds of 7.6mm ammunitions along Numan-Ngurore road that was handed over to Police along with the suspect and 62 lectures were delivered on War Against Drugs Abuse WADA with about 32,197 attendants.
Additionally, the NDLEA Adamawa state command in 2023 ensures establishment of 21 Information Collation offices in every local government of Adamawa as well secured final forfeiture of 2 vehicles, one motorcycle as enshrined in NDLEA Act 2004 Ammended that warrant the forfeiture.
Furthermore, CN Femi Agboalu revealed that the Command will soon shift operations to NDLEA Barracks along Numan Road while the current Command Base will be overhaul to Northeast Rehabilitation Centre of the NDLEA,revealing that in 2023, 42 drug users,2 females from Taraba state,1 from Adamawa state undergoes 3 to 6 months rehabilitation exercise.
Equally, the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency Adamawa Command said,from the year 2021 to 2024 no Pilgrims in both faiths from Adamawa state was arrested due to drugs as result of it’s vigilance.
