World Book and Copyright Day 2022 in Adamawa State

Office of the Nigerian Copyright Commission in Adamawa State has encouraged citizens to imbibe reading culture and promote the authors and books in the country.

State coordinator of the commission Yusuf Ibraheem stated this in an interview with NASFM news on marking the World Book and Copyright day set aside by United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization to promote reading and celebrate authors and books across the globe.

According to Adamawa State Coordinator of Copyright Commission reading culture is shrinking among Nigerians hence the need for restoration amid global technology..

Ibraheem also encourage the authors of the books and intellectual properties owners to register materials with the commission for protection.

Theme for this year’s World Book and Copyright day: Read so you never feel alone is advocating for reviving copyright and creativity clubs in schools among others.
