The Noble Mind Initiative for the Discouragement of Vandalisation of Public Equipment (NMIDVPE),has appointed Hon. Esther Kwata Daniel as Taskforce Commissioner/Coordinator for protection of public assets in Adamawa State.
In a statement jointly signed by the Chairman of the organization Comrade Ikechukwu Chukwu and the Secretary Mr. Innocent Ogu said the appointment was approved by the governing board of trustees of the NMIDVPE.
The Statement further noted that the appointment which is for an initial period of two years,takes effect from June 1st,2024 to 31st, May 2026.
The Statement hinted that the team under Hon.Esther Kwata Daniel,in Adamawa State is to serve as watchdog to eliminate fraud of public funds and assets,and to also checkmate Vandalisation of government equipment, bunkering and hoarding of government essential products across the twenty one Local Government areas of Adamawa State.
Other responsibilities of the Taskforce team include elimination of dubious middlemen who are engaged in sharp business practices,creating artificial scarcity and adulteration of Petroleum products in the state.
The organization’s governing board emphasized that the setting up of the Taskforce team with the appointment of Commissioners/Coordinators was part of deliberate effort to eradicate all forms of illegalities in the Petroleum and solid minerals sectors of the nation’s economy,which President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s led administration is hugely committed to harness for the overall benefit of government and the citizenry.
It further added that all necessary working tools and support needed would be provided to enable the team to discharge it responsibilities accordingly as it solicits the maximum support and cooperation of the critical stakeholders and government relevant agencies for the organization to thrive.
