Gov Fintiri: Repair of Erosion-Damaged Waga Bridge Essential for Safety and Security

By Zakariyya Aliyu Gwaram

Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, announced that the state government is ready to work with the Northeast Development Commission to repair the Waga Bridge, which connects Adamawa and Borno states and has been damaged by erosion.

Governor Fintiri spoke about the importance of the bridge, which is on a federal road leading to areas where Boko Haram insurgents hide.

He emphasized that if the road is not fixed, it will endanger both the local communities and the security forces, especially the army, in their operations.

The governor assured that repair work will start soon, as the state government is in discussions with the Northeast Development Commission, which is responsible for such projects.

Fintiri stressed that this road is crucial for both Adamawa and Borno states.
