Gov Fintiri Approves Cyber Reform Initiative(SABER) for Adamawa State

As a requirement of the eligibility criteria for the World Bank Business Enabling Cyber Reform state action programme,the Adamawa State Executive Council approved Memo on the progress report of the state business enabling reform action plan 2023.

According to the commissioner of information, Mr. James Iliya, the council meeting presided over by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, sanctioned the approval to strengthen institutions in the state for good governance, accountability, and transparency in services.

He noted that Governor Fintiri deemed it necessary to include Adamawa state in order to access performance disbursement in the state.

Furthermore, the programme enables revenue generation, which ensures progress in other developmental projects.

Other benefits of the World Bank Cyber reform programme include transparency in electronic platform, create good business environment for people of the state.

Government House reporter Zakariyya Aliyu Gwaram noted that the approval also enables transparency in the procurement process, which helps in prudent financial management.

In the end,the council through Commissioner of Housing Development Abdullahi Prambe appreciated Governor Fintiri for his effort on peace building in Adamawa state.

Prambe encourages the youth to desist from violence.

The development objective of the State Action on Business Enabling Reforms (SABER) Program for Nigeria is to improve: the efficiency of land administration, the regulatory framework for private investment in fiber optic infrastructure, services provided by investment promotion agencies and public-private partnership units, and the efficiency and transparency of government-to-business services in participating states.
