Fintiri, Kefas Commission State-of-the-Art TY Danjuma House in Taraba

Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, joined forces with his Taraba State counterpart, Kefas Agbu, in Jalingo to commission the newly remodeled and reconstructed Government House, now bearing the name of General Theophilus Danjuma (rtd).

This high-profile event, held in the heart of the Taraba State capital, unveiled the TY Danjuma House—a masterpiece of modern architecture, brimming with state-of-the-art facilities.

The guest of honor, General Theophilus Danjuma (rtd), for whom the Government House is named, wished that the building would serve as a beacon of hope and progress for the government and people of Taraba.

His words of commendation for Governor Agbu’s efforts in steering development were coupled with prayers for the peace and prosperity of the entire nation.

In his remarks, Deputy Governor of Taraba State, Aminu Abdullahi Alkali, painted the picture of a project that not only symbolizes the value of democracy but also reflects the governor’s unflinching commitment to elevating governance.

He described the remodeled Government House as a testament to innovation and forward-thinking, pillars of the current administration’s mission to deliver impactful service to the people.

“This structure stands as a rock-solid symbol of the stability, progress, and unity that we are working tirelessly to nurture in Taraba State,” Alkali noted.

His speech also carried a note of gratitude toward General Danjuma for his lifelong contributions to the state’s progress and the nation at large.

He further acknowledged the project team for their sweat and dedication in bringing the grand vision to life.

The upgraded Government House boasts an impressive array of features: the governor’s residence, special advisers’ offices, modern security gates, a banquet hall, an armory, a communication office, a guest house, a fire service station, a technology complex, a chapel, a warehouse, and a fully equipped canteen.

In addition to these, armored vehicles for the army and operational vehicles for the fire service were also commissioned during the ceremony.

The event drew a constellation of dignitaries, including former governors, deputy governors, and former Minister of Information, Professor Jerry Gana, adding to the pomp and pageantry of the day.
