Council Chairman of Numan Mr. Innocent Koto has delivered the assorted bags of fertilizer provided by Adamawa State to targeted farmers across the ten political wards in Numan local government area.
Mr. Koto in an interview with NASFM News Reporter Dominic Yohanna said the distribution was done successfully base on the directives of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri to boost food security in the area.
Mr. Innocent Koto said the allocation of over two-thousand one-hundred forty bags of fertilizer was given to Numan local government area for onward distribution to peasant farmers.
According to the Numan council chairman, the distribution was conducted successfully base on the directive by the Adamawa State Governor.
Mr. Innocent Koto noted that the fertilizer came at the right time to farmers to enable them participate in this years’ wet season farming.
Mr. Innocent Koto identified that the conflict between farmers and herders had become a bygone issue, based on the modalities put in place by the traditional council and other stakeholders.
He also commended the farmers of Numan local government for taking serious into seasonal activities.
Mr. Innocent Koto also called on the People of Adamawa State to continue to cooperate with the Present administration of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for the peace and development of Adamawa State.
