Adamawa SEC: approved proposed 2024 Budget, Target sits for all public secoundary schools students in Adamawa.

The Adamawa State Executive Council at its weekly meeting on Wednesday has approved over N225bn as a proposed budget for 2024 fiscal year.

This is line with the Medium Term Expenditure Framework (MTF) and Economic and Fiscal Update aim to be apt and prompt in carrying out governance.

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, presided over the council meeting, and sanctioned the allocation of N1.7 billion to acquire furniture for junior and secondary schools.

Mrs. Neido G. Kofulto, the State Commissioner of Information and Strategy, revealed this during a press briefing held at the Government House Council Chambers in Yola after the council meeting.

Mrs. Kofulto emphasized that this financial provision adhered to the budgetary course of the Fintiri administration and followed international standards and expects approval by the state assembly.

The State Commissioner of Education, Doctor Umar Garba Pela, stated that education occupied a virtuous space in the calibrated 8 points Agenda of the Fintiri administration.

According to him,the target is to ensure by 2024 no child in public school will be without sit.

At the Council Meeting, Governor Fintiri received the National Award for Budget Transparency Survey from Mr. Emmanuel Piridimso, the State Commissioner of Budget and Economic Planning. This recognition was secured by Adamawa, ranking as the third best-performing state nationwide and the leading state in the Northeast in the 2022 National Budget Transparency Survey.
