Adamawa State House of Assembly has passed into law a bill for a law to establish the Adamawa State Teachers Service Commission and a bill for a law to establish the Adamawa State Health Supplies Management Agency Law twenty-twenty four, repeal the Adamawa state essential drugs programme edict, nineteen ninety six.
The house has also passed a bill for a law to repeal Adamawa State College of Nursing and Midwifery law number two of twenty seventeen and re-enactment of Adamawa State College of Nursing Science law.
The passage of the bill followed a third reading of the bills moved by the deputy majority leader of the house and member representing Maiha Constituency Jingi Ahmed Belel during Monday’s Plenary.
The Speaker Bathiya Wesley who presided over the Plenary directed the clerk of the house to prepare a clean copy of the bills for Governor’s assent.
Meanwhile, the House has also considered reports of it committee on a bill for a law to repeal college of Agriculture Ganye, law number fifteen of twenty sixteen and re enact, Adamawa State College of Agriculture, science and Technology and a report on a bill for a law to establish the Adamawa State water supply and sanitation services law, twenty twenty four.
The consideration of the reports followed a heated debate by the lawmakers in which the speaker Bathiya Wesley committed the reports to the house standing committee on rules,business and ethics to schedule them for third reading at any convenient legislative setting.
However, a report on a bill for a law to repeal college of legal studies Yola, edict number two of nineteen ninety seven and to re-enact Adamawa State College for legal and education studies Yola has been stepped down due to some inconsistent contain in the report.
The step down of the report followed a motion to that effect moved by Member representing Guyuk Constituency, Sunday Peter and seconded by the Member representing Jada Mbulo Constituency, Muhammad Buba Jijjiwa.
Also during the Monday’s Plenary, a bill for a law to provide for the prohibition of spillage of sand, laterite and gravel on the highways and other roads scaled through second reading.
The bill which was sponsored by Deputy Speaker and Member representing Jada Mbulo Constituency, Muhammad Buba Jijjiwa if passed into law will allow free flow of motorists in roads and protect the roads from damage considering the huge amount spent on construction of the roads.
Meanwhile, the House has also received two letters from Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri on a bill for for a law to establish Adamawa investment promotion agency and a Bill for a law to amend the Adamawa state revenue Administration law twenty twenty to provide for the appointment of executive directors to enlarge composition of the board for the house consideration and further legislative action.
