Governor Fintiri Touches Down in Benin Ahead of Crucial Edo Polls

The Governor of Adamawa State and Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Campaign Council for the upcoming Edo Governorship election, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has arrived in Benin, the Edo State capital, ahead of Saturday’s highly anticipated poll.

Governor Fintiri, accompanied by his Taraba State counterpart, Dr. Kefas Agbu, and other key PDP leaders, was warmly received upon his arrival at Benin Airport.

The Edo off-cycle election, scheduled for September 21, has been clouded by controversy, with allegations of intimidation and the arrest of PDP members.

However, authorities have denied any wrongdoing, stating that those arrested are being held for legitimate reasons.

As the election draws near, all eyes are on Edo State to see how events will unfold on Saturday.
