Beneficiaries of Food Palliative in Mayo Belwa LGA of Adamawa State have commended the federal and the state governments for the gesture.

The beneficiaries who include less privileged, vulnerable and disabled persons made the commendation after receiving 10kg bags of rice, shortly after flagging off of the distribution of palliative by the council Chairman Alhaji Muhammad Buji.

The beneficiaries believed that the palliative, will go along way in cushioning the hardship occasioned by fuel subsidy removal.

Speaking to NAS FM NEWS REPORTER Abubakar Aliyu Gengle, shortly after flagging off the distribution of palliative, the Chairman Mayo Belwa LGA, Alhaji Muhammad Buji, appreciates the effort of governor fintiri for the palliative and described it as timely.

Alhaji Buji, therefore, urged the palliative distribution committee in the local government and wards levels to ensure that the food items are distributed without any bias.

It could be recalled that the Federal Government has released five billion naira to each of the States across the country, in order to purchase palliative to cushion the hardship occasioned by the fuel subsidy removal.
