District Head of Jada Step up Effort to curb Farmers-Herders Clash in the Area

The District Head of Jada Alhaji Umaru Ardo-Mukadas Ganye says his domain is working out modalities to reduce the menace of lingering clashes between farmers and herders in Jada local government.

The Mukadas Ganye explains that every farming session, a committee is set up to look into issues of cattle rout and grazing areas among others.

He adds that enlightening them and planting of trees to indicate cattle root also helps in bringing peace among the parties.

According to him, the major factors causing conflicts between farmers and herders are population growth and increasing demand for farmlands.

The District Head of Jada, therefore, calls on governments and stakeholders to support farmers and herders in order to ease their difficulties.
