Lamido Adamawa, Dr. Muhammadu Barkindo Aliyu Mustapha has turbaned Dr. Mahmood Halilu fondly known as Dr Modi as Sarkin Gabas Adamawa alongside Comrade Mustapha Salihu as Sa’i Adamawa respectively.
The colourful ceremony which took place at the Lamido’s Fombina Palace Yola attracted prominent personalities from all works of life.
It is official on Saturday 7th May, 2022 that Dr. Mahmood Halilu turbaned as sarkin Gabas Adamawa alongside Comrade Mustapha Salihu as Sa’i Adamawa respectively.
The Lamido Adamawa Dr. Muhammadu Barkindo Aliyu Mustapha said the two titles followed their track records and contribution the Fombina Kingdom.
The monarch described the Title of Sarkin Gabas as important which Dr. Mahmood is the second bestowed, reminded him of the task of responsibility to offer maximum co-operation for the progress of the kingdom.
The premier ruler also charged other title holders in the Fombina Kingdom to cooperate with the Sarkin Gabas Adamawa, Dr. Mahmood Halilu Modi and the Sa’i Adamawa Comrade Mustapha Salihu on their new titles.
In his acceptance Speech, Dr. Mahmood Halilu lauded the twelve Lamido Adamawa for the titles bestowed on them described the day as historic.
The title holders who are politicians Promise to rededicate themselves for the progress of the Fombina Kingdom, Pledge an initiative for transformation through partnership with other title holders.
The event was witness by prominent personalities including Governors, ministers among other government functionaries.
