The Commissioner of police Sikiru Akande has assured the people of Adamawa state of adequate security as the nation celebrates the Eid-el Adha sallah celebration.
The Commissioner emplaced adequate security measures to protect the citizens, ensure the success of all the activities lined-up for the Sallah celebration and to prevent any act capable of breaking down law and order before, during and after the celebration.
Consequently, the Adamawa State Commissioner of Police further directed Deputy Commissioner of police department of operation to coordinate and ensure all the Area Commanders, Divisional police officers, and Operational commanders lead the Sallah celebration themselves.
A statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje also ensure high visibility policing, stop and search operation and confidence building patrols around the Eid grounds, venues of the celebrations, residential areas and other places of public resort to prevent any infiltration by hostile elements.
The Police Boss also congratulated Adamawa State Governor Rt.Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri ,and the entire people of the State , on the occasion of the Sallah celebration.
The Commissioner called on citizens to go about the celebrations in the most peaceful and law abiding manner and report any suspicious person(s) around their neighborhoods to the nearest Police or call the following telephone numbers.
