The Head of Operations National Emergency Management Agency, Adamawa/Taraba Ladan Ayuba has alerted ten local Government areas in Adamawa over flooding this year.
This is sequel to the 2022 prediction by the Nigerian Metrological Agency and Hydrological Agency on the on the experience of the incident this year.
He noted that five local government areas in Adamawa would experience high probable flood risk which include Yola North and South, Demsa, Numan and Lamurde.
The NEMA head of Operations also noted that other five local governments to experience moderate situation are Fufore, Guyuk, Shelleng, Girei and Gombi respectively.
Going further, the National Emergency Management Agency’s head of operations noted that three states in the northeast would witness the incident to include Tabraba with six local governments to include Ardo Kola, Gasol, Jalingo, Ibi and Wukari.
While in Gombe State the NEMA Said Funakaye local government would experience the situation.
Ladan Ayuba concluded with Bauchi, with six local government areas to experience the situation comprised of Itas/Gadau, Giade, Shira, Zaki Alkaleri and Jama’are.
NASFM learnt that the National Emergency Management Official call on the communities and local governments also the states respectively to take the message with cognizance to respond on the difficulties to be experience in the situation.
