14 suspected cattle rustlers and Hard drug dealers paraded by Police in Adamawa

The Commissioner of Police in Adamawa State Sikiru  Akande has paraded fourteen suspected cattle rustlers and hard drug dealers in Numan and other parts of the State.

The commissioner had, while parading the suspected criminals in Yola, noted that the operations of the police would seek collaboration with the public to improve security situation in the State.

The Police Commissioner has assured the people of Adamawa state of sustained efforts in fighting crimes, improving public safety as well as security across the state in the year 2022.

The command’s operatives attached to the State Criminal Investigation Department and Crack squad have disconnected network of an organized crime, apprehended fourteen suspects and recovered a vehicle,   six computer sets, Two TV sets, hard drugs among others.

Speaking to newsmen, the suspects admitted the offences with the call on the society to desist from contravening the laws of the land.

The Adamawa State Commissioner of Police, Sikiru Akande who spoke through Deputy Commissioner, Criminal Investigation Department, Vungmoh Kwaimo guaranteed the people that the police would not rest on its oars towards maintaining law and order in the State.

On the cattle rustlers, the Commissioner said the breakthrough was achieved through collaborative effort with civil society organizations in the areas.

It is now left for the law to take its action as the alleged offenders are to be prosecuted which would determine their fate.
